Fruitbull participated in the round table: The digitalization of the agri-food sector

On May 9, 2016, Fruitbull took place in the round table “The digitalization of the agri-food sector” organized by Telefonica Open Future and Wayra.

In this event, was present Valentin Fernandez, Global Director of Business Development and Alliances of Telefónica Open Future, who acted as a moderator in the debate with the participation of Michael de José, chief digital officer de Calidad Pascual; Luis Pérez Ballesteros, responsible for IBM Consumer Products Spain; Juan Rivero CEO & Co-Founder in Delsuper and Eugenio Fernández CEO of Cropti, together with Santiago Álvarez CEO of Fruitbull.

They all agreed that the agri-food sector in Spain is very powerful yet lacks of power to innovate. Summarizing, they quote its great strength and creativity, but also the need for modernization.

For example, USA and Israel are some of the countries with the highest volume of startups and high level of digitalization. They also said that France and Netherlands are a role model to follow. 

Santiago Alvarez, mentioned the importance to give a more transparent information on its activity sector to citizens.
